Total Eclipse at 11 Leo 37, Full Moon

There are 5 eclipses in 2018 and this is the first one ushered in! It is a Full Moon and represents a 2^nd Full Moon of the month setting the tone for 2018 along with the first Full Moon in Cancer. The final Leo eclipse for this series of Leo/Aquarius eclipses occurs on 20/21 January 2019; a New Moon, 0 degrees.

Leo is the sign that the North Nodes of the Moon of destiny are in for the collective; we look to our individual chart to see what area of life (house) this falls. So, look at where 11 degrees of Leo (the house the actual eclipse occurs) and where 11 degrees of Aquarius falls (this is in opposition to this present eclipse & where the Sun is). Our (Leo) hearts (Leo rules the part of the body of the heart) will be full: asking us, at this time, does this make my heart sing?

Some hearts may be broken (this is a Full Moon, so culmination reigns). Along with the Moon in Leo & Sun in Aquarius we also have Venus, the planet of love (and money, values) in Aquarius. This proceeds Valentine’s Day and may prompt some to meditate on what that day means and decide to either stay in or get out of a romantic relationship. It reminds me of a quote from a video I watched that struck me: “Life is an easy thing to lose and waste”. Many are realizing they are wasting their lives in what they are doing in whatever area(s), relationships, jobs, friends, groups, location, spirituality, you name it! This Full Moon brings these things to a head but at the same time opens a new door (s) should you wish to go through it.

There will also be those who will continue to stick their heads in the sand and brush dysfunctional things under the carpet. The Universe will lend them a helping hand to illuminate what is really going on and force change. All change leading to very positive outcomes. Mercury in Capricorn is literally at the last minute 29 degrees (59 minutes) of Capricorn at this time suggesting some very cautious, considered thinking and perhaps, communicating, all around the collective, expressing its authentic self. Venus in Aquarius at 16 degrees Aquarius is in close conjunction to the Aquarius Sun, opposition to the Moon in Leo; being attracted to unusual, unique, electrically charged individuals – someone completely different.

Venus conjunct the marriage asteroid, Juno in Aquarius suggesting new, completely different marriage partners may materialize in the next few months (this can be before or after the eclipse btw). The Moon in opposition to Venus/Juno suggests maybe something will be brought to light around unique, unusual relationships but, may highlight the desire for nurturing too. Mercury widely sextiles Mars in Sagittarius providing opportunities to speak your mind, from the standpoint of ‘how you really feel’ about what is close to your heart (Leo). (These words may ring true for you at the next New Moon Eclipse in Aquarius on 16 Feb 2018!!!). Remember behaving like the good Queen or King (Leo) is important at this time..

Here we see a group of adults relaxing and enjoying themselves in a socially acceptable way. The lantern(s) suggest that they are an enlightened and spiritual group connecting with each other by enjoying some time from day to day worries and having fun (Leo) instead.
