Meaning of the New Moon in Leo

Joyful feelings and happiness become part of our being and are incorporated as part of our higher selves. Let the sun shine, let the sun shine…so, goes the old Fifth Dimension, Age of Aquarius song. So appropriate to describe this lovely New Moon in Leo. For those that partake of yoga, picture shining your heart space to the sky and welcoming in love. Bringing your hands to heart space. Speaking of love, Venus trining Uranus & Eris…there may be some lovely surprises in this area. Cupid may be popping up and zinging his arrows at totally unexpected times and from unexpected people to unexpected recipients. How fun! Of course the quincunx to Jupiter in Virgo could cause some to pause…for, a, errr… adjustment of their hair or frock! Oh my; summer fun in the sun! Now, that is mixing it up.

Mars will catch up to Saturn in Sagittarius officially on 23August 2016. He’s giving notice at this new moon, that action will be forthcoming in this area. Generally speaking, natural law, religion will enact the existing rules. I see this as putting your money where your mouth is…no more ‘talk’ about how we will protect nature, religious principles, or higher learning; rules will be enacted! Of course, fanaticism could rear its head too; we have both sides of the coin.
Interacting with the above aspect is the ongoing Neptune/Saturn retrograde square. I think there may be research ongoing regarding our higher consciousness and how this affects our form…our physical body.

Black Moon Lilith (BML) in Scorpio is going over the ground that was tilled by Mars (during the extensive retrograde of Mars in Scorpio). BML is giving credence to what Mars brought up individually and collectively. What does that mean? If you have your chart, see where 22 degrees Scorpio is placed. What house does it sit in? It will be this house that is having some assertive, feminine content added. What was dug up (for a second time) by Mars is now being critiqued by BML. This could be secrets exposed, or information that was withheld that helps with the individual moving forward with their lives.

Perhaps, something as far back as their childhood. We will speak our truth, our true, truth! This is especially relevant with the sextile to Jupiter; honoring the expansion of truth…an opportunity for us to work together to respect all our truths. If we are lucky, maybe a global initiative to truly respect the feminine; with laws to boot. Used correctly I envision this as a phoenix rising from the ashes. A very interesting and empowering aspect! Mars also represents sports and I immediately think: the Olympic Games being held in Rio this year. We heard early in the year alarming reports of the prevalence of the zika virus in Brazil and the potential devastating consequences from being bitten by the mosquito that carried the virus. I’m wondering if there will be some further light (not pretty) shed once again on this and its effects on the Olympic Games. Remember we also have a Neptune retrograde representing the immune system harking back to the virus idea.

Collectively, I can only think of the candidates for our USA upcoming elections! Could both or either of the candidates have something revealed that we didn’t know about? Hmmm…let’s see what comes up! It is a New Moon and Leo likes to be flamboyant and from the heart. So, the collective may forgive and make nice.
