Our first moon of 2017 and it is a Full Moon, shedding light on endings of sorts. This Full Moon in Cancer conjuncts Queen Elizabeth II Descendant and opposes her Capricorn Ascendent…where Pluto is conjunct too! This is a seminal moment for this monarch. So too for Prince Charles, William & Harry with aspects of this Full Moon in their respective charts too. The (royal) Leo eclipses along with the fixed star Regulus associated with Royalty, all point to gaining granularity in the events ahead for the Royal family. An ending of sorts followed by a new beginning in the Royal family.

Cancer rules the Moon so this adds extra oomph to the emotional aspects of a Cancer Full Moon. Cancer sits on the security axis along with the opposite sign, Capricorn (where Pluto continues to require transformation and reformation). Collectively, and individually we will be asking what makes us feel secure…or, more importantly: is where I am providing security? Or, is it encouraging codependency, staying in something, or, with someone, out of fear or guilt? With Jupiter in Libra, relationships of all sorts are being highlighted; endings and beginnings. This is especially true for Cancer Sun, Moon and Rising signs.

Uranus, the shaker and enlightener of the zodiac will be playing a major part during this Full Moon and for the rest of 2017. That means expect the unexpected. Where you may have been stuck, an unexpected development releases you. You may find like minds among communities that support the individual in the collective. Just a heads up that there will be a whirlwind of activity going on before, on and after this Full Moon in Cancer. Find something that helps you remain centered. For instance, yoga, krias, meditation in your own way, going into nature, walking by the water…just a few suggestions. Have your ‘go to’ already in mind when things seem a little too much for you!

The universe is providing enlightenment…this may be experienced after suffering, especially emotional suffering. Opportunities for enlightenment will be more readily available to us all. You may gain insight into what needs to be done in your life – a path to your higher self can open up now. There may be moments of feeling lost – this is only a precursor to important positive changes coming your way this year. Be open to change. Pisces is highlighted as well with many planets ensconced there. Your dreams may reveal important information at this time.

The Moon trines action planet Mars in Pisces…connecting with source, the universe can be more easily initiated. At the same time, Mars conjoins Chiron for healing…the spiritual warrior.

I’m always reminded of great literary writers like Oscar Wilde, Hemingway, etc. who wrote from their hearts. Emotions, are, in many ways, what makes us empathize with others…it can also lead to suffering. And…in suffering we can more readily access our higher selves and connect with source. This leads us on the path we are meant to be on in this lifetime. This Sabian Symbol seems to represent the collective group, of which, we as individuals, meet and participate. Like minds gather together.
